    Are We Open? Notice Regarding the Maine Community Law Center and COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

    Dear Friends:

    The health and safety of our community is our number one priority. While we remain open to serve you, we are following the recommendations of public health officials relating to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and have temporarily closed the MCLC physical office. All MCLC staff and attorneys remain available to you during this time and will continue to provide you with the legal services you need to the best of their ability using distance technology. We remain committed to providing high-quality, affordable legal services, and are available to you during normal business hours by email and phone. All attorneys are available by videoconference should you want to schedule a face-to-face meeting with them. Please note that access to office phones is currently somewhat limited. Please call the office as normal and leave a message, and all calls will be returned as quickly as possible. Please understand that, during this time, there may be a delay in our response time.

    If you are a new potential client, please use any of the following methods to contact us:

    · Call 207-482-3832 and leave a voicemail;

    · Fill out a contact form through our website;

    · Email info@mainecommunitylaw.org.

    It will expedite the process if you provide the full names of ALL parties involved in the case – yours and any opposing parties. A member of our team will contact you shortly with next steps.

    As you may know, from now through May 1, 2020, the Maine courts are limiting what family matters cases will be heard. Here is the court’s website with the announcement: https://www.courts.maine.gov/covid19.shtml. If you are a current client, please reach out to your attorney to find out what this means for you.

    We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
