DO YOU AND YOUR CO-PARENT AGREE

ON A PARENTING PLAN?

The basic elements of a parenting plan should include:

        (1) how decisions for the children will be made (most people have shared parental rights and responsibilities),

        (2) a plan for where the children will live (primarily with one parent, or with a shared residence),

        (3) what contact the children will have with each parent, and

        (4) what you will do about holidays and vacations.

There can be many more details, but these are the core issues.
